Document Verification requires your users to take an image of the front and back of their identity document. Biometrid will then run specific checks to determine if the document is valid, belongs to the user, and can be trusted.

• Expiration date

We check if the document is expired.

• Alteration detection

We check if the document has been altered or tampered.

• MRZ elements

We check the correspondence between MRZ data and non-MRZ data.

• Specific country elements

We check the correct presence of specific country elements like the title of the document, country symbols, country of emission, European or other region symbols, and more.

• Other security elements

We check the correct presence of specific security elements like holograms, small photos, filet bar, background text patterns, and more.

• Document dimensions

We check the depth and margins of the document.

• Data integrity

We look for the correct presence of data like security numbers, tax numbers, and health numbers.
